Dong Quan Lake in Soc Son (35km northwest of Hanoi) is a place we haven’t visited in a long time, so we nearly forgot it was one of H4’s favorite spots. The vast pine-covered hills are lush and beautiful, though not very high, making them ideal for both runners and walkers. I guessed our excellent hare team must have scouted the hills several times with great care to create such amazing trails.
We went up and down the pine hills, which were cut by military training trenches for soldiers. The trail markers were so abundant that they seemed to make our hashers lazier and less eager, didn’t they?
Anyway, it was a perfect hash and a wonderful afternoon!
